St. Kilda

She doesn't go to my uni, but Squish came along for lunch, and it was delicious! We had pumpkin curry soup, and a coffee or two. Later we were joined by Ivory and we went down to St.Kilda beach. It was some of the nicest Melbourne weather we'd seen in a while so we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Studley Park

Beautiful Studley Park Boathouse in Kew. This is Squishy ( touch her and you'll know why we call her that, softest skin and perfect to cuddle). She helped me do some photography for a uni assignment, and she was a perfect model. These are the resident geese, and they were fun to photograph. The photo of them walking reminds me of the scene from Aristocats. Hopefully I can get the girls together for a coffee sometime next week and do some more photos.

In bed with a good book

Who doesn't love snuggling up in bed with an amazing book? I'll admit I don't read enough, but whenever I do, I always go for the romance novels. Unfortunately, I'm a hopeless romantic. Here are three new books I picked up the other week. Currently I'm attached to Warm Bodies, a story of a world where zombies are slowly taking over the world. Don't roll your eyes! It's not like all those other fantasy novels out there. This particular tale follows the life of one zombie, R, who is different from the others. Desperately struggling to hold on to the memories from his past life, R forms a strangely tender relationship with a girl named Julie. Ignoring his now natural instincts to kill, he spares her life - something very rare for the Dead... This book is very well written, and I can read it for hours. I'll let you know how it goes...

A quick introduction

Hi everyone and welcome to Boogie and Basil. This is Basil, my 13 year old dachshund, and this is me, the other half of this blog. No my name is not actually Boogie, although ever since i could remember, my whole family have been calling me that. Don't ask me why, because i have no idea. I'm Agatha. I study design, love my food ( a little too much at times), am passionate about fashion and art, and love the culture of this beautiful city i call home, Melbourne. One of my best friends introduced me to blogging, and after reading hers for so long, i hope i can bring you equally interesting and inspiration posts. Her name is Ivory, but i'll introduce you to her a little later on. That's all for now. Thanks for stumbling upon Bogie and Basil.
